Project “Camí Vell Dénia-Xàbia” (new construction in Dénia)
This house is located on a plot with a complicated orography. An important work of excavation and the construction of walls in the back were precise. These walls are visible from the interior of the house, in contrast to the view of the sea that is obtained from the opposite facade. The challenge posed by the difficulty of the terrain led to the development of three differentiated volumes: the low body, closed and buried, with recreational use and with a particular wine cellar; the elevated body, where the sleeping area is located; and the wide body, place of greater social activity. All these areas jointly define the concept of space of this project. The house responds to the intention of freeing the interpretation and use of space. In the house there is an avant-garde and innovative style due to the existence of a completely domotic installation with a central automation panel. It is worth noting the lighting of the entire house, designed and distributed to offer different environments. The illuminating body of the staircase, for example, is made with a curtain wall through which natural light penetrates with the afternoon sun. The living room gives way to the terrace and the pool, both with great views of the sea. In the garden, in zen style, several varieties of bonsai stand out.
