Villa Schultz
Villa Schultz
The construction of this house presented the technical challenge of managing a semi-buried floor under the slope of the mountain, which involved robust structural solutions for the retaining wall and the waterproofing of the foundation.
The roof design was a key technical focus: a structural fold was implemented for the roof that not only resolves the transition to the street but also supports the perimeter skylights, ensuring watertightness and maximum capture of natural light. The ground floor was designed with the construction of two interior courtyards, the execution of which required precise coordination of the excavation and the structure, ensuring continuity between the building envelope and the entry of air and natural light. The implementation of these courtyards, along with the large windows in the bedrooms, ensured that even the basement levels enjoyed excellent ventilation and views of the port of Dénia. Overall, the construction focused on the precision of the structure and the building envelope to achieve light control and optimal habitability in a highly complex topographical environment.
