Villa Sant Joan I

Villa Sant Joan I

The construction of these terraced houses focused on the execution of the structure and the envelope to support the longitudinal design and guarantee the insulation between the units.

The key to the construction lies in the natural stone walls, which are not merely aesthetic elements but also act as structural axes running the length of the plot. The technical complexity was resolved through the integration of the two interior courtyards and their proper waterproofing, essential for natural light and ventilation. A continuous insulation system was used for the building envelope, ensuring the elimination of thermal bridges at all junctions and guaranteeing comfort and efficiency. The joinery and internal partitions were precisely executed to acoustically insulate both dwellings and maintain the privacy required by the terraced design.
