Villa Manley
The construction of this house focused on building a complex structure capable of supporting the bold architectural design. The main construction challenge was to create the enormous cantilevered porch without the need for vertical supports.
This required detailed structural calculations and careful pouring of the upper floor slab to counteract the weight of the cantilever and maintain stability. Visual continuity between the interior and exterior was achieved through the installation of large windows with Cortizo’s Cor Vision system. This joinery allows the sashes to slide and disappear, leaving the space completely open and connected to the garden, demanding millimeter precision in the tracks concealed within the structure. Additionally, the execution of the opening in the cantilever required impeccable technical execution in the waterproofing and finishing of the floor slab. Outside, the construction of the swimming pool and the multiple levels of the terrain were carried out with discreet retaining walls, seamlessly integrating the different leisure areas into the pine grove.
