Villa Faldes del Montgó

The execution of this project focused on structural precision and envelope control to optimize the single-story design. The cantilever construction is not merely a design choice; it is a key structural solution for passive solar protection, ensuring interior thermal stability.

The foundation and horizontal structure were designed to support the villa’s elongated shape and large openings, ensuring complete stability on the slopes of Montgó mountain. A high-performance, continuous insulation system was installed in the building envelope. In the living area, the enormous windows were mounted with technical profiles that meet rigorous airtightness standards, guaranteeing energy efficiency despite the large glazed surface. Finally, the terrace was built with a skeletal structure that not only lends it visual lightness but also facilitates the robust installation of the retractable awnings, while the outdoor kitchen was clad with weather-resistant finishes to ensure its functionality and durability.
