Villa Coombe
Villa Coombe
The construction of this house was planned under the premise of implementing a structural system that was as simple and efficient as possible, which was achieved through a clean and quick-to-execute solution of slabs and pillars.
However, this structural simplicity allowed for the integration of focal elements of high technical complexity, such as a broken-section staircase, whose construction required great precision in formwork and concreting to achieve its sculptural and lightweight design. At the level of technical details, high-performance insulation and joinery solutions were used to ensure that the large glazed surface framing the views did not compromise the thermal efficiency of the home. Additionally, the integration of the horizontal extendable awnings on the upper terrace was resolved with a system hidden in the structure, maintaining the clean and contemporary lines of the facade.
