Villa Sant Joan I

This house is part of a project of two attached single-family homes, where the architecture was conceived to maximize the free area of the plot.

The aim was to create the feeling of a detached single-family home, and the main challenge was to find ways to ensure natural ventilation and lighting in all rooms without compromising privacy between units. The geometric composition is synthesized around a main axis, emphasized by natural stone walls that run lengthwise through the plot. A series of enclosed and open spaces (interior courtyards) are attached to and interspersed along this axis. The program unfolds around a large common area, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a laundry room, and two patios. This design allows the owners to experience a rich variety of spatial sensations along the main axis.
