Villa Manley
Villa Manley
This single-family home, located in a flat area and surrounded by the pine forest of Las Rotas in Dénia, is structured through a geometric composition of two intertwined arms arranged in an ‘L’ shape across two floors.
The design aims for total integration with the natural environment and an optimization of covered outdoor spaces. The main objective was to design a cantilevered porch of the largest possible dimensions, free of pillars, thereby creating a clean and functional transitional outdoor space. To enhance natural lighting at the ‘L’ junction, a strategic opening was designed in the cantilever, allowing zenithal light to flood this core area of the home. In the garden, the landscaping was divided into several terrain levels that define distinct enjoyment zones: shaded areas with benches were created under the pine forest for summer, and sunny areas were sought for winter, ensuring year-round outdoor habitability.
