Villa Egenhofer
Villa Egenhofer
This new construction project in Dénia is structured around two clearly defined volumes, characterized by the specialization of the rooms and the creation of an open and fluid space. The layout was designed to optimize functionality and spatial perception: ceiling heights were manipulated to emphasize different activities, with higher ceilings in the daytime areas (living room, dining room) and lower ceilings in the nighttime areas, creating a more contained and intimate atmosphere.
As a legacy of the Modern Movement, the concept of invisible corners with glass angles was revived, a solution that, with its visual extension, achieved a sense of spaciousness that surpasses the actual dimensions of the house. To create a completely open and fluid space that flows seamlessly into the garden and the privileged sea views, the joinery was arranged so that it disappears completely within the walls when opened, fostering an area fully integrated with the exterior. Architecturally, it was a true pleasure to work in collaboration with the owner, who is also an architect, enriching the creative process.
