Reform between walls, DENIA

Location: Denia, Alicante
Project for integrally refurbishing in Denia

The Project consists in the entire remodelling of an existing property built in the sixties. The remodelling aims to create a new atmosphere, increasing the flow of its open spaces and adapting them to a more contemporary way of living. Based on a much divided distribution, the proposal was to connect and widen the rooms of the property as an attempt to extend the limited usable space available.

They will also work on very rough facades and dividing walls, regularizing its perimeter and solving practical issues such as storage, using a wardrobe, benefitting from its already existing gaps, as well as the study of any spaces that can be transformed into a place of storage, such as the first steps at the bottom of the stairs.

There are two clearly different areas.

This transformation allows the property to be structured into two clearly different areas: the day zone located on the ground floor, with a more public and breezy character; and the night zone on the top floor, with a more private and divided character to be able create a bathroom and built in wardrobe. With regards to the materials, they have sought out to create a bright and serene atmosphere. One of the real challenges of this project was the studying of a staircase that, while respecting its functionality, managed to dissolve itself into the properties space, to enhance the sensation of spaciousness.

White is the main colour.

The colour white prevails on all walls, ceilings and the interior carpentry. The colour contrast is created with the flooring, opting for ceramic tiles in every room.
